Tilburg has no tram, but it does have a city bus network tightly focused on Centraal Station and operated by Arriva under the Bravo brand. Its routes link Tilburg-Noord, the Reeshof, De Blaak, Berkel-Enschot and Goirle with the town centre, and the ETZ Elisabeth and TweeSteden hospitals each have a stop of their own. Arriva publishes live positions, so those buses move on OVatlas with a line number and current delay attached.

Three stations serve the city. Tilburg Centraal is the junction where the intercities between Breda, Den Bosch and Eindhoven call, Tilburg Universiteit sits next to the campus, and Tilburg Reeshof serves the large western suburb. Sprinters stop at all three, intercities only at Centraal. On the map you open each station separately and see at once which series are leaving at that moment.

Southwards the network crosses the border: De Lijn runs from Centraal Station via Baarle to Turnhout, while Bravo regional buses serve Hilvarenbeek, Udenhout and Waalwijk. For those Flemish runs, OVatlas shows what the feeds deliver on the Dutch side; once a bus is over the border the live display may stop even though the journey itself carries on. The same caveat applies to any operator outside the Dutch feeds.

Frequently asked questions

How many railway stations does Tilburg have?

Three: Tilburg Centraal, Tilburg Universiteit by the campus and Tilburg Reeshof in the western suburbs. Intercities call at Centraal, while the sprinters serve all three. On OVatlas you can open each station separately for live departures.

How do I reach Tilburg University by public transport?

Tilburg Universiteit station is within walking distance of the campus and is served by the sprinters. City buses also run there from Centraal Station. Open the stop on the map to see which of the two leaves first.

Is there a bus from Tilburg into Belgium?

Yes, De Lijn runs from Centraal Station via Baarle to Turnhout. Flemish operators do not always publish to the Dutch real-time feeds, so live tracking of such a run may stop once it crosses the border.

Under what name do Tilburg's buses run?

Under the Bravo brand, which covers the whole of North Brabant; in Tilburg the services are operated by Arriva. On the map the runs appear with their line number and whatever delay the operator is reporting at the time.
